Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
