The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And extended shade, 30 near to flowing water 31 and abundant fruits, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And raised couches. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 for the people of the right hand 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
