Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
