THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
