Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Just look at him, who belies the religion! 1 That is he who repulses the orphan 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 So woe to those who pray 4 Those who are neglectful of their prayer. 5 Those who do things only to be seen by others. 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
