Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 and raised couches, 13 And cups put in place 14 And cushions ranged! 15 And carpets spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel how it has been created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
