Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
