Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
