We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night.
