۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed to Moses: 'Strike the sea with your staff', so it divided and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
