Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
