Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
