Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send Our messengers. But they will come to know, 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 Then they will be asked, "Where are the idols which you worshipped besides God?" 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 “This is the recompense of your being happy upon falsehood in the earth, and the recompense of your conceit.” 75 Enter the gates of Hell to stay therein forever. The abode of the arrogant is evil. 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
