Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
