Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
