(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war. 42 Do they have any god other than Allah? Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him in His Divinity). 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
