Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 29 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 30 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 [Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 with seven gates leading into it, each gate receiving its allotted share of sinners. 44
