T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
