The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
