Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
