The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
