Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Woe to the liars 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
