Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
