Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
