Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
