Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24

Is it not a guidance to those who inherit the earth after those who inhabited it that, did We will, We would smite them because of their sins, sealing their hearts so they do not hear? 100 Those cities - We relate to you, [O Muhammad], some of their news. And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers. 101 We found most of them untrue to their covenants, indeed We found most of them to be defiant. 102 After those We sent forth Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his nobles, but they dealt with Our signs unjustly. Observe, then, what happened to the mischief-makers. 103 Moses said: 'Pharaoh, I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 "I am duty bound to speak nothing of God but the truth I have brought from your Lord a clear sign; so let the people of Israel depart with me." 105 Pharaoh said: if you have brought a sign, then bring it forth if you are truthful.' 106 Then he flung down his staff and lo! it was a serpent manifest; 107 And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom), and lo! it was white for the beholders. 108
