Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha Mim. 1 This Scripture is sent down from God, the Mighty and Wise One. 2 Lo! in the heavens and the earth are portents for believers. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs unto a people who are convinced. 4 and in the alternation of night and day, and the provision God sends down from heaven, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead, and the turning about of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 Who hears the verses of Allah which are recited to him, then remains stubborn, proud, as if he did not hear them; therefore give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he knoweth aught of Our revelations he maketh it a jest. For such there is a shameful doom. 9 Before them is Hell; naught will avail them of that which they earned, nor those whom they took for patrons beside Allah. Theirs shall be a torment mighty. 10 This (Qur'an) is the true guidance. Those who deny the Signs of their Lord shall suffer the torment of a woeful scourge. 11
