And recite to them the news of Abraham, 69 when he asked his father and others, "What do you worship?" 70 They replied: 'We worship idols and continue cleaving to them' 71 He asked, "Do they hear you when you call to them? 72 or do they cause you any benefit or harm?" 73 They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this wise. 74 He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 75 You and your ancient sires. 76 Lo! they are (all) an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the Worlds, 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 And when I am ill, it is He who cures me 80 And Who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again), 81 "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," 82 My Lord, give me judgment, and join me with the righteous. 83 “And give me proper fame among the succeeding generations.” 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 "And forgive my father - for, verily, he is among those who have gone astray 86 Do not betray me 87 "The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, 88 except him who comes before Allah with a pure heart; 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 And Hell made visible to those who had gone astray. 91 It shall be said to them, 'Where is that you were serving 92 "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 They shall say while they contend therein: 96 "'By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest, 97 When we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 "'Now, then, we have none to intercede (for us), 100 no caring friend. 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 There is certainly a sign in that, but most of them would not believe: 103 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 104

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
