The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ruin is for the defrauders. (Those who measure less.) 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure, 2 but, when they measure for them or weigh for them, do skimp. 3 Imagine such men not that they shall be raised up? 4 For a mighty day, 5 The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. 6 Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin. 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). 9 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 10 Those who deny the Day of Judgment 11 and none cries lies to it but every guilty aggressor. 12 When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" 13 No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. 14 No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. 15 then they shall enter the Fire of Hell, 16 Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false! 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is? 19 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed, 20 Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]. 21 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure 22 [resting on couches, they will look up [to God]: 23 You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. 24 They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. 25 The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations: 26 a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 The sinners had been laughing at the believers. 29 when they passed by them they winked, 30 and whenever they return to people of their own kind, they return full of jests; 31 On seeing the believers, they would say, "These people have gone astray". 32 Yet they were not sent as watchers over them. 33 so today those who believe shall [be able to] laugh at those who denied the truth 34 Reclining on couches, looking on. 35 The infidels have indeed been rewarded for that which they had been doing. 36
