We sent Noah (of old) unto his people, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an Awful Day. 59 The leaders of his people said: "Verily, we see you in plain error." 60 "I have not gone astray, O my people," he said, "but have been sent by my Lord, the creator of all the worlds. 61 I deliver to you the messages of my Lord, and I offer you good advice and I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 Do you wonder that admonition should come to you from your Lord through a man from amongst yourselves that he may warn you, that you may avoid evil and that mercy may be shown to you?' 63 But they called him a liar, and We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and drowned the others who rejected Our signs, for they were a people purblind. 64
