Elucidated (Fussilat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Compassionate. 2 A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail;- a Qur'an in Arabic, for people who understand;- 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 They say: 'Our hearts are veiled from that to which you call us, and in our ears there is heaviness. And between us and you is a veil. So work (as you will) and we are working' 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
