Al-Najm 3 of 3
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
