▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
