8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
