Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is it timed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
