Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 relieved you of the burden 2 which had been a heavy weight upon your back 3 And raised high your fame? 4 Indeed, hardship is followed by ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 When you are free from (your obligations), strive hard (to worship God) 7 and unto thy Sustainer turn with love. 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
