(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
