And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
