The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 I am not going to drive away any believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
