The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
