1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
