The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 It will engulf them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
