The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
