And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 (Muhammad), do not be grieved (about their disbelief) nor distressed about their evil plans against you. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
