The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
