Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
