The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created the human 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 25
