۞ Say thou: I but exhort you unto one thing: that ye stand, for Allah's sake, by twos and singly, and then ponder; in your companion there is no madness; he is naught but a warner unto you preceding a torment severe. 46 Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you, that is only for yourselves; my reward is only with Allah, and He is a witness of all things. 47 Say: Lo! my Lord hurleth the truth. (He is) the Knower of Things Hidden. 48 Say, "The truth has come, and falsehood can neither begin [anything] nor repeat [it]." 49 Affirm, "If I am in error, I shall carry the burden thereof; and if I am rightly guided, it is because of what my Lord has revealed to me. Truly, He is all-hearing and near at hand." 50 If you could see when they are gripped by terror without any escape, and are seized from close at hand 51 They will say: "We believe in it." How could they reach it from a place of no return? 52 since they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a distant place? 53 And a barrier is set between them and what they desire*, as was done for their earlier groups; indeed they are in a doubt that deceives.
