Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Indeed, We have given you, [O Muhammad], a clear conquest 1 that Allah forgives your past and future sins, and completes His Favor to you, and guides you on a Straight Path, 2 And that Allah may help thee with strong help - 3 It is He Who instilled peace in the hearts of the believers, so that it may increase their strength of conviction; and to Allah only belong the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise. 4 (From His Wisdom) He admits the believers, both men and women, into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, there to live for ever, and acquit them of their sins that with Allah is a mighty triumph 5 And [God has willed] to impose suffering [in the life to come] on the hypocrites, both men and women, and on those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, both men and women: all who entertain evil thoughts about God. Evil encompasses them from all sides, and God's condemnation rests upon them; and He has rejected them [from His grace,] and has readied hell for them: and how evil a journey's end! 6 And to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise. 7 (O Prophet), We have sent you forth as a witness, as a bearer of good news, and as a warner 8 In order that ye (O men) may believe in Allah and His Messenger, that ye may assist and honour Him, and celebrate His praise morning and evening. 9 Lo! those who swear allegiance unto thee (Muhammad), swear allegiance only unto Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. So whosoever breaketh his oath, breaketh it only to his soul's hurt; while whosoever keepeth his covenant with Allah, on him will He bestow immense reward. 10
