Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
